Manchester City are one match away from winning the Premier League title second time in a row following their 1-0 win over Leicester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola’s men struggled for close to 70 minutes before Vincent Kompany broke the deadlock with just 20 minutes left to play in the game.

The Belgian powered home a thunderous shot from long range which beat Kasper Schmeichel after receiving a pass from Aymeric Laporte.

City got the game off to a flying start but met with a tough Foxes as they failed to hit the target in the early minutes of the game.

Soon enough, the visitors took charge of possession as they pressured their hosts who were also decent in their defending.

However, both sides failed to find the back of the net as the referee sounded the whistle to mark the end of the first half.

Having observed the quarter hour break, both sides resumed hostilities at the Man City ground, but it was the Citizens who broke through towards the end of the match through that powerful strike.

Meanwhile, Nigerian star Kelechi Iheanacho had a chance to restore parity for the Foxes but failed to find the back of the net after a beautiful pass from Hamza Choudhury in the 86th minute.

Manchester City battle Brighton & Hove Albion in their last game of the season while Liverpool face tough task against Wolves.

Should they emerge winners at the end of this season, City will become the first team to win the EPL title after Manchester United after winning the title three consecutive times (2006-07, 2007-08, and 2008-09).
