Loneliness is a complex human condition of feeling socially disconnected.

Loneliness typically includes anxious feelings about a lack of connection or communication with other beings, both in the present and extending into the future.

Loneliness can be caused by:

  • Social
  • Mental
  • Emotional and
  • Physical factors.

Loneliness can occur due to past experience in life like, being over disciplined by a father can cause loneliness, lack of friends, death of someone dear to you.

Loneliness can also be caused by having a unstable marriage, break ups in a relationship, moving from one’s home town into an unfamiliar community or lonely place.

Effects of Loneliness

Loneliness has no positive effect, loneliness can kill a person.

Loneliness leads to depression, anxiety, and make a person’s risk of dying from cardiovascular disease like high blood pressure, stroke, and heart disease.

Loneliness can bring poor health to a person, it is a slow killer.

How to deal with Loneliness

Loneliness can also be called ‘social isolation’.

To deal with loneliness try this four tips:

1. Make a decision

Decide if you love to be lonely or not, it starts from you, from the mind.

1. Help Yourself

Don’t isolate yourself, just try and bring yourself out.

3. Interaction

Try to interact with people, drop ideas or contribution to any discussion, if no friends around you then make use of social media (The easiest way to make friends). We are in a computer age no one have to be lonely.
