Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, also promises ‘harsh revenge’ over the death of Soleimani The president of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, has expressed anger over the killing of his country’s Quds force commander, Qasem Soleimani, by a United States air strike in Iraq.
President Rouhani said his country will revenge the death of Soleimani as tension continues to build around world over the act by the US. Reuters reports that Rouhani said the death of Soleimani has further invigorated Iran to resist the US.
“Soleimani’s martyrdom will make Iran more decisive to resist America’s expansionism and to defend our Islamic values. “With no doubt, Iran and other freedom-seeking countries in the region will take his revenge,” Rouhani said in a statement as reported by Iranian state television.
