US blacklisting of Huawei is failing to halt company’s growth

In the days after the US government said it would ban Huawei Technologies from buying vital American components, the Chinese company’s founder, Ren Zhengfei, pulled together an emergency meeting of his top lieutenants at its headquarters in Shenzhen.

In a large conference room, the billionaire asked for a report from the head of each business unit on how they would be affected by the Trump administration’s ban, which blocks US companies from supplying everything from semiconductors to software. Their assessments were dire. “We thought we had lost the world,” said Will Zhang, who attended as president of corporate strategy.

It turns out they were far too pessimistic. Huawei recorded an 18% rise in sales to a new high of 850-billion yuan (US$122-billion) last year, although that was down from about 23% in the first half and missed its own internal targets. Company projections for 2020 are similar. Huawei holds the enviable position of being the world’s largest supplier of communications equipment to telecoms operators and the largest smartphone maker globally after Samsung Electronics.

Huawei isn’t just surviving; it’s actually thriving in some areas. The question is for how long. Last week, executives warned in a New Year’s memo that survival itself is a priority, urging employees to brace for a difficult 2020. Inventories stockpiled months in advance of the May blacklisting are drying up. The company can no longer count on momentum alone to drive the business, rotating chairman Eric Xu warned.

How Huawei survived the US blacklisting could prove a case study in unintended consequences and a vast shift underway in global IT production. Huawei is a big customer for all of its suppliers, and a few actually cut ties after the blacklisting.

Others lost out to rivals in Japan and South Korea. But American companies with extensive global operations, including Microsoft and chip maker Micron Technology, found legal ways around the ban, leaning on production outside the US so Huawei-destined products wouldn’t be hit. Huawei itself put armies of engineers to work redesigning products to reduce its reliance on American parts.

Eden Hazard to miss Spanish Super Cup with ankle injury, confirms Zidane

Eden Hazard’s injury-plagued start at Real Madrid will continue this month after Zinedine Zidane said on Friday the Belgian will not play in the Spanish Super Cup next week.

Hazard suffered an ankle fracture during Madrid’s draw against Paris Saint-Germain on November 26 and was expected to be out for around four to six weeks.

But Zidane has confirmed Hazard will miss Madrid’s La Liga game against Getafe on Saturday and will not travel to Saudi Arabia, where his team face Valencia in the Spanish Super Cup semi-finals on Wednesday before a potential final against either Barcelona or Atletico Madrid four days later.

“He is 100 per cent out of the Super Cup,” said Zidane in a press conference. “He is not travelling, he is recovering and we hope that just after the Super Cup, little by little, we could see him with us again.”

IRAN Raises Red Flag

IRAN today pinpointed 35 “key US targets” for revenge after its top general was assassinated with America expecting retaliation “within weeks”.

Hours later, rockets were fired near the US Embassy in Baghdad and at an airbase housing America.

The chilling flag display is seen as a clear warning the Islamic Republic is ready to fulfil its worrying pledge to strike back at America and Donald Trump.

Chillingly written across the “war flag” were the words: “Those who want to avenge the blood of Hussein”.

Red flags in Shiite tradition symbolise both blood spilled unjustly and serve as a call to avenge a person who is slain.

It was hoisted above the important Jamkaran Mosque which is on the outskirts of the holy city of Qom, about 100 miles south of Tehran

Almost nine years of civil war in Syria has left more than 380,000 people dead

Almost nine years of civil war in Syria has left more than 380,000 people dead including over 115,000 civilians, a war monitor said in a new toll Saturday.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which has a network of sources across the country, said they included around 22,000 children and more than 13,000 women.

The conflict flared after unprecedented anti-government protests in the southern city of Daraa on March 15, 2011.

Demonstrations spread across Syria and were brutally suppressed by the regime, triggering a multi-front armed conflict that has drawn in jihadists and foreign powers.

The conflict has displaced or sent into exile around 13 million Syrians, causing billions of dollars worth of destruction.

The Britain-based Observatory’s last casualty toll on the Syrian conflict, issued in March last year, stood at more than 370,000 dead

Bull riding is a rodeo sport that involves a rider getting on a bucking bull and attempting to stay mounted while the animal tries to buck off the rider.

Bull riding has been called “the most dangerous eight seconds in sports.” To receive a score, the rider must stay atop the bull for eight seconds with the use of one hand gripped on a bull rope tied behind the bull’s forelegs. Touching the bull or themselves with the free hand, or failing to reach the eight-second mark, results in a no-score ride. At least 21 professional bull riders have died since 1989, with true numbers likely far higher as amateur bull riders are not included in these statistics.

How to make New year resolutions

Be clear about what you want.

For example, if you want to take better care of yourself this year, what does that look like? Perhaps you are ready to quit smoking, to take on a consistent exercise regimen, or to eat healthier.

Understand why you want it.

Why is it important to you to take better care of yourself? Perhaps you want to set a good example for your children or grandchildren. Maybe you’re concerned about aging or hereditary diseases, and you’re taking preventative measures. Or maybe you’re just at a point in your life where your health has become more important than instant gratification. Whatever the reason, getting to the root cause of the “why” will help you stick to your resolution when you’d rather quit.

Be specific about what you want.

This specificity should take two roles: one, of a specific final result that you’ll work towards, and two, specifics about how you’ll achieve that result.

Be committed to the outcome.

Commitment is the difference between a successful accomplishment vs. another resolution that fell apart before Valentine’s Day. Be clear and firm in your commitment, and do not waver.

Put it in writing.

People who write down their goals and resolutions are more likely to achieve them than people who don’t.

Chart your progress

It has often been said that “whatever you measure will improve” and this is particularly true of New Year’s Resolutions. Taking time to measure your progress (preferably in a chart or other visual tool) can go a long way towards spurring you on to success.

Get support.

Whenever possible, find an accountability partner or someone with the same goal, and support each other throughout the process. People who commit to exercise with a partner (or group) are far more likely to stick with their exercise programs than people who choose to go it alone.

How to stay awake on New year’s Eve

Today’s is New year’s Eve and we know that there are lots and lots of parties today and if you want to be part of one but you are afraid you might sleep off then have a look at some tips that could come in handy.

Talk to people.

If you’re around friends or family for New Year’s, make conversation with them to stay awake. Keep your mind entertained by being social. Listen to stories, flashbacks e.t.c.

Stay on your feet.

Dance, walk around the house or even challenge your friends to a push up contest. Whatever you do, just make sure not to sit or lay down. You don’t want to get too comfortable or you might end up drifting off to sleep.

Do fun things.

Play games with your friends and family. Play pranks on people. Take turns making New Year’s resolutions with everyone. Do anything that entertains your mind and keeps you up.
If it’s legal in your city, shooting off fireworks can be really exciting. Just be very careful around fire and supervise little kids.
Taking pictures of everyone in funny poses can make for a really great time.

Help out.

If you’re at a party, you can help the cook prepare food for everyone. You can even play bartender and make cocktails for everyone. Volunteer to clean up a bit as well. Not only will helping out ingratiate you with the host, it will keep your mind focused and awake.

Joke of the day 25/12/2019

There were these three guys. They had been walking for 3 days and were very tired. They found a hotel, rented a room and went to sleep. Then, this old guy comes in out of nowhere, and says there is a magic pool just outside their hotel room. He tells them “Ok, you must jump off the diving board, and yell out what you wanna land in.”

So the three guys go over to the pool. The first guy, a vegetarian, yells out “Bananas!” and lands in a pool of bananas. The second guy was money hungry and yelled out “Money!” and lands in a pile of money. The third guy jumps, when a bird shits on his head, and he yells “Oh Shit!”

Cook the pudding.

Place the saucepan onto a high heat and bring the water to a boil. Once it is boiling, turn it down to a gentle simmer and allow to simmer for roughly 4 hours.
It’s very important that you keep topping up the water, which will be approximately every hour. Remember to bring it back to the boil and then turn it back down to a simmer.

Remove the pudding from the heat after this time.

Take off the tin foil.
Remove the sheet of parchment paper.
Place a large plate on top of the bowl.
Using cloths to grip the plate better, very carefully flip the pudding onto the plate to sit upright.

Joke of the day 24/12/2019

A womans husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months, yet she had stayed by his bedside every single day. One day, when he came to, he motioned for her to come nearer. As she sat by him, he whispered, eyes full of tears, “You know what? You have been with me all through the bad times. When I got fired, you were there to support me. When my business failed, you were there. When I got shot, you were by my side. When we lost the house, you stayed right here. When my health started failing, you were still by my side. You know what?” “What dear?” she asked gently, smiling as her heart began to fill with warmth. ”I think youre bad luck.”

Women- How to keep your P-Part clean and healthy🍑

People often refer to the entire area “down there” as the vagina, but remember that the vagina is actually the tube-like muscle located inside your body. Here are some tips you should use to take care of your vaginal.

Tips

  • Wash soon after intercourse.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • If you feel you must use soap, for whatever reason (although not recommended to use soap at all) go with the most gentle, scent free soap you can find. Cleanser for super sensitive skin would be ideal.
  • Always keep the vagina dry and wear clean cotton pants.
  • Getting an STD test both you and your partner(s) is a great way to know for sure if you have anything. Don’t be afraid, your health depends on it.
  • Keep a mature mind when following the above steps. Keeping a healthy vagina is part of a regular hygiene regimen.
  • Warm water is the best thing to wash the vagina with. The chemicals in the soaps may damage it.
  • Always bathe regularly and wash with lots and lots of water. ESPECIALLY when on your period.
  • Wearing pads and panty liners all month long or after your period is over can lead to skin irritation.
  • Eat foods that boost your vaginal health (e.g., yogurt, fruit, garlic).
  • Having hair removed from your genital area may cause irritation. Pubic hair evolved to keep genitals from becoming too moist and it allows the area to breathe. While there aren’t necessarily any serious repercussions, pubic hair removal does not pose a hygienic benefit.
  • Menstrual cups are a chemical-free choice for handling your period, and they can be really helpful if you tend to get irritated by tampons and pads.
  • Drink 100% Cranberry juice.
  • If you know your vagina is unhealthy, don’t have sex or masturbate.
  • Do not wash the vagina with soap or other chemicals. It causes vaginal irritation and infection.
  • Kegel exercises strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and the pubococcygeus muscle. These muscles tend to get looser and weaker with age and after giving birth. Strengthening them can help you avoid issues like urinary incontinence and also increase sexual pleasure.
  • Yogurt has the same kind of “good” bacteria that your vagina needs to stay healthy. So ensure drinking enough yogurt.
  • Eating cooked or raw garlic a few times a week is a great way to keep your vagina healthy. It has also been said to help get rid of bad vaginal odor.
  • Baby wipes will make you feel fresher than regular toilet paper.
  • The vagina is a self-cleaning muscle, so using soap will do nothing but harm the delicate pH balance. Just use warm water.
  • Peeing after sex can help flush the bacteria out of the vaginal area, promoting general health and helping you avoid those pesky UTIs.
  • Try wearing looser, lighter fabrics that breathe well.
  • Wash your vagina with hot water after sex. This will greatly minimize the chance that your encounter will have an unpleasant after effect.

How to create a snowflake with paper

Learn to create a  snowflake with paper in this few easy steps:

Angular Snowflake

Get a sheet of 8.5 x 11, or A4 paper. Create a perfect square by taking the bottom corner and folding it over to the top, at a diagonal. A 3″ (7.5 cm) or so piece will be sticking out. Cut off the excess so you’re working with just the square.
At all steps in this method make sure your creases are firm and straight. If they’re not clean and symmetrical, you may end up with a wonky snowflake.

Fold the paper in half, in a triangle shape.

This is the same fold you made in the first step and is only mentioned in case you unfolded it to cut. Once it’s folded once, fold it again, forming an even smaller triangle.
At this point, you may fold it again to create a different, much smaller, base for your snowflake. Experiment! However, for kids, folding it again renders it much more difficult to work with.

Start making cuts.

This is where the snowflake gets really good. If you get creative with it, you’ll end up with a pattern that’s intricate, delicate, and detailed. Or you could end up with a couple of slits in a piece of paper. Cut in curves, angles, and swirls to get the most out of the paper.
You may find it useful to hold on to the center of the snowflake the very tip. Though you can cut it off and the snowflake will hold together! The more paper you cut off, the flimsier it will be not necessarily a bad thing.

Carefully unfold your snowflake.

If you’ve made a lot of cuts, the snowflake may rip, so be careful. And if your cuts were very small, sometimes the layers of paper stick together (think election day 2000).
If you’re not happy with your pattern, fold it back up and take a few more whacks at the paper. Problem solved.

Banana
As per most studies, men with a healthy heart can successfully increase their penis size by few inches. The fruit contains potassium which is key to cardiovascular health. Banana reduces the level of sodium in the body, which is extremely harmful for your body. It is also known to improve the blood circulation in the body.
Healthy heart and proper blood circulation are the main factors that help you attain a bigger erection. So consume banana regularly to achieve desired results in shorter time span.

3. Pull your penis to the left for another 10 seconds, then to the right.
Repeat these steps once or twice a day for about 5 minutes.

3. Through Vegetables

1. Onions
Research shows that onions are great for creating healthy blood flow circulation throughout the body to the heart.
Furthermore, onion consumption helps prevent blood clotting. But what people seldom realize is that onions help not only blood flow to the heart, but also with blood flow to the penis.

2. Spinach
This Persian origin edible flowering plant is a natural penile enlargement food. A potent source of magnesium, which dilates blood vessels for smooth blood flow in the penis. Regular consumption of spinach can easily help you in increasing penis size, girth, and attain iron-strong hard-ons.

4. Stretching with a device

To use a penis pump:

1. Place your penis inside the air-filled chamber.

2. Use the pump mechanism to suck the air out of the chamber. This pulls blood into your penis, causing it to become erect.

3. Attach the included ring or clamp to your penis to keep it erect for up to 30 minutes. It’s safe to have sex or masturbate during this time.

Note: Being too rough with your penis can cause large tears in the tissues or damage to the ligaments that connect your penis to your body. These injuries can potentially hinder your ability to get or maintain an erection

5. Your Mindset

A survey showed that most men who think they have a smaller or shorter dingdong don’t actually have it, it’s just their mindset or their mind tricking them, if you look well its normal and doesn’t need any exercise, diets or device. Just ask your partner if it’s ok, remember don’t risk your health or organ just for satisfaction.

How do make money through betting in 2020

10 Ways To Improve Your Betting

1. Understand the concept of value

Critical. If you don’t have this, walk away. Sure you might be certain that a 1.25 favourite is going to win, but are the odds being offered giving any value?

Plenty of times we’ve heard casual gamblers say “There’s no way this team is going to lose this game.” Well they might be legitimate favourites, but is the probability of them winning better than the odds being offered? Betting with this frame of mind is a little like saying an over-priced wide-screen TV was good value just because you really really really wanted it. It doesn’t work.

Value is a simple concept, but most of the betting public don’t understand this. And perhaps thankfully so, because its this naive or ‘square’ money that can skew the market, leaving great opportunities for the minority of gamblers who do know how to recognise value.

Being able to spot value means that you are able to spot odds that are too high, consistently and systematically and capitalize on those opportunities.

In principle this is not unlike successful trading with stocks: It makes sense to buy a particular stock when it is undervalued, as this means it likely will appreciate in value later. If you are focused on sports betting, than your job each match day is to find the undervalued teams, and “buy their stock” in a manner of speaking.

Spotting value is in essence about judging probabilities more correctly than the market does. Of course it is difficult to do that for every game and every sport, but that isn’t necessary. Your big advantage over the bookmaker lies in the ability to skip matches with unfavourable odds – just like you don’t have to purchase all stocks available. The bookmaker pretty much has to offer odds for almost all games, at the very least in the most popular leagues.

Spotting value is the hardest thing to do in this business, and you will need a lot of practice to pull it off consistently. Only once you have developed your ability to consistently identify value, you will have a systematic edge.

2. Understand basic maths

If you’ve ever said the phrase “I’m not a maths guy but….”, then you probably shouldn’t be a betting guy either. While plenty of gamblers can make a success of it by betting on instinct and ‘feel’, to be successful long term you need a viable staking plan and you need to understand what the odds reflect in terms of probability.

In short, it’s a numbers game, and you need an adequate relationship with division and multiplication as a minimum.

3. Understand how the bookmakers make the odds

This depends upon the popularity of the event, but in general, bookmaker odds will be more a reflection of what they expect the general public to play, rather than on the actual probabilities of either outcome. Of course, it’s not quite that simple, but in general, bookmakers will set their odds so as to attract betting on either side of the odds, so as to balance their liability and take their commission.

This leaves smart gamblers to find great value opportunities where the general public’s opinion is just plain wrong. It also means that great value can be found on events where there is expected to be greater interest than normal by the occasional or casual gambler, who let’s be honest, knows nothing or very little in terms of profitable betting strategy. Events like the Super Bowl, Cup finals and major horse racing events are prime candidates for this sort of opportunity.

If you want to bet successfully, you need the right bookmaker. You will need to find bookmakers that actually let you win. Sadly it’s an ugly truth that most bookmakers won’t and will limit their successful customers, or may even outright ban them.

Of course that way you can’t possibly plan for success, as your winning would always stay fictional. Happily there are certain bookmakers that do not limit or ban their successful customers. One of the most well known bookmakers of this kind is Pinnacle Sports (residing in Curacao), as well as the Asian bookies SBObetand IBCbet. The latter two also happen to be the worldwide market leaders when it comes to soccer betting. On the other hand, if you consider yourself a casual betting type, going with well established bookies is the perfect choice.

The business model of all these bookmakers is based on low margins and high volumes. This means they simply want to have as much action as possible, encouraged by a small bookmaker margin which translates into better odds for the customer. These bookies accept winners not because they want to make the world a better place (that’s just a side effect), but rather because they can use that information to their advantage, for instance by adjusting their betting lines.

You should also make use of betting exchanges. Betting exchanges will not ban you for winning either, as you are betting against other customers on the exchange, rather than a bookmaker directly.

4. Possess the ability to fall in love with the ugly duck

The longer we have been betting, the more we have come to fall in love with the team that nobody likes. In fact, we feel better about a potential bet the uglier it looks on paper. Sounds counter intuitive we know, but the less the general public likes a team, the more we like the look of them in terms of value. Especially a team that might have performed well over a long period but may have had a bad run of maybe 4 or 5 games. Just watch the general public jump off them, and watch their value rise.

5. Don’t dwell on the past or celebrate for too long

Don’t let a recent losing run throw you off your game. Put it out of your mind and stay with your analysis and have faith that the wheel will turn. Similarly, don’t let a recent winning streak give you false courage and lead you to over extend yourself. Again, stay with your analysis and stick with your plan.

6. Don’t hope for The Big Score

Multi-bets. Parlays. Teasers. Whatever you like to call them, know when to bet them. And when not to. Sure they offer the promise of the big score, the big pay day, but unless you have done your analysis and have located true value, they are a terrible way to bet.

Look at it this way. If you place a multi-bet of 4 legs, and you were getting full price even money odds of 2.00 for each leg, the odds for that multi would be 16.00. Now lets look at a real world example where you’re being offered lets say 1.90 for ‘even money’ with the bookmaker taking out 5%: the odds for that same 4 leg multi would be just 13.00. That’s taking out close to 19% of the full price of that bet.

But if you have located true value, then multi’s can be tremendous value as you multiply the value into each leg. The issue is of course, locating true value. Everyone who adds a leg to a multi does so because they believe they are finding value. Nobody bets odds that don’t represent value to them. But key to creating value multi’s is in finding true value or else you’re only diminishing your chances of success with each under valued leg you add.

7. Have a long term sensibility

If you take your betting seriously, you need to think long term. Build your betting bankroll, steadily increase the amount you bet on each game, and soon enough you’ll find you’re making some decent pocket money on the side, and maybe, just maybe, if you stick with it long enough, you can make a living wage out of it.

Never forget: Betting, like any other form of serious investment, is a marathon, not a sprint. Accordingly it will take a while for your bankroll to grow. If you’re patient and successful however, the compound interest effect will be on your side. What will look like painfully slow growth initially will end up picking up a remarkable exponential dynamic.

You will have to deal with more swings, losing streaks, winning streaks, making the curve less smooth and requiring a greater number of bets. Nevertheless the general dynamic holds true – how far you can get with 5% value is quite amazing, and doesn’t even take all that long.

8. Start with a sensible betting bankroll

If you want to make money, you need to start with a betting bankroll capable of absorbing losses. If you’re going to bet in units, with an average bet of 1 unit, we would recommend a bankroll of at least 50 units. Minimum.

OK so maybe you can only afford a bankroll of 1000 euro, which means your average unit will be 20. Sounds small time we know and you want to be a high roller. Well a euro1000 bankroll can quickly turn into a substantial amount with consistent value recognition and an intelligent staking plan.

Lets say you bet 200 bets a year. And for argument sake lets say they are all of 1.90 odds, and lets say you hit at a 54% strike rate. Well with a fractional Kelly staking plan, at the end of those 200 bets, depending on your winning consistency which should even out over a long term, your bankroll will be in the ballpark of euro1100.00. Yeah I hear what you’re saying – that’s only 100.00 profit over the year. Well, that’s just betting 200 bets a year, with a 2.6% average return per bet.

Now imagine you bet 400 bets in a year and able to get still a modest 5% average return. That bankroll of euro1000 at the end of the 400 bets would be in the ballpark of euro1400 and at the end of 5 years that bankroll will be in the range of euro5000, and after 10 years, around euro30,000 with an average unit of 600.

Not bad is it. Of course the hard part is to get that consistent 5% return, and perhaps the harder part is grinding it out until you build that bank up over a number of years. But the point here is to show how starting out modest with a viable bankroll and staking plan, can turn into genuine profits in the long term

It isn’t just all about value though – the ability to correctly manage your money is almost as important. Money management is about two fundamental goals, that partially contradict themselves:

growing your bankroll as quickly as possible
while avoiding bankruptcy in the process
Provided you find value regularly, your bankroll will of course grow faster if you stake more per bet. But if you stake too much per bet, you risk bankruptcy. Sadly this aspect is often severely underestimated by most people. The random swings can be brutal even if you mostly place value bets. Luckily this can be handled easily by a very simple rule: Personally I would recommend you never stake more than 1-2% of your bankroll on any given bet.

If you are able to come up with a reasonably accurate estimation of your actual value, you can use the Kelly-formula to make the most of your edge – and stake ever more efficiently.

9. Let go of the need to ‘make it interesting’

If you want to make it big in betting, value alone will not cut it. You need to find that value in sports and leagues that you can bet at reasonably high betting limits (these are limits that apply to every punter, rather than just a select few winning ones).

But soccer is not the only avenue. For example for American Sports, Pinnacle Sports and Matchbook allow for high stakes as well, British Horse Racing is another good possibility on Betfair and Betdaq. However, it should be noted that early market odds will often have low limits and restricted betting until the market develops in the days leading up to the event.

For example, a bookmaker such as SBObet may offer stakes up to 5,000 for a Premier League game a day before kickoff, but will likely only offer a tenth of that on markets posted a week prior. It’s also worth noting that many traditional bookmakers such as Ladbrokes do not quote their bet limits as unlike Pinnacle Sports and SBObet, they will not apply to the majority of their customers.

On the other hand it will be pretty tough in more exotic sports and leagues, even if you find great value there. Bad odds and low limits are usually insurmountable obstacles in that regard.

While a number of bookmakers cater to professional punters seeking high stakes, Pinnacle Sports is by far and away the leader when it comes to limits on major sporting events. Here are Pinnacle Sports current bet limits for popular sports leagues and markets:

How to get money through Affliaite marketing 2020

Let’s begin with the broad definition of affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is one of the oldest marketing practice which gains affiliates a commission in the case of sale based on the affiliate’s recommendation. It is one of the cheapest and easiest ways of marketing as you don’t need to create and sell a product. Just one thing you need to do is to enable a linked connection between buyer and seller and take your commission when the sale is made.

Many online companies that sell shoes or domain services offer an affiliate program. By signing up for the program, get your unique tracking link and use this link whenever you write about their product. There are different affiliate programs that use different payment terms.

  • Pay Per Click (PPC): You make money online based on the number of visitors redirected by your affiliate site to the advertiser’s website.
  • Pay Per Sale (PPS): You make money online when the purchase is completed. The advertiser pays you a percentage of the sale.
  • Pay Per Lead (PPL): You make money online when the visitor provides his/her contact info on the advertiser website.

How To Make Money In Affiliate Marketing

As you see, affiliate marketing is a passive income source. It is highly competitive it is true but still it may be so easy to make money online with affiliate marketing. To be successful, you need to learn what works and what doesn’t while promoting your products. If you ask yourself “How can I do affiliate marketing”, here are the tips:

Be Patient

There are many affiliate marketing works. So, you need to be patient. You can feed your website with qualified content to get high ranking positions and raise awareness, attend affiliate marketing events, seminars or webinars and join a discussion forum or online communities to meet new people. All make a great contribution to develop you. Naturally after these contributions you will be more passionate to make money from affiliate programs. If you are patient enough you will make money with affiliate programs.

Choose More Attractive Products

It would be a definite mistake to promote everything by registering with different affiliate programs. You can’t focus on each of them deeply and the result would be a disappointment. Instead of promoting everything, just promote a few products which are unique, profitable or can reach large masses. So, you need to understand market needs and desires and place your products accordingly to make money as an affiliate.

Use Several Traffic Sources

The chance of making money online raises together with the more traffic you send to the sales page. It is not wrong to run ads on just own site, but it has some missing points. The best example belongs to Google Adwords. By making an ad in your Adwords account, your sales page gets targeted traffic from various channels.

Attract Targeted Traffic

The core function of making money is to push people to click your affiliates’ links. So, you need to attract visitors. There are four ways; paid advertising, free advertising, article marketing and email marketing.

You need to combine ad copy, graphics, and a link effectively on paid services like Google AdSense in paid advertising while placing links and advertisements on free websites like Craigslist or US Free Ads in the free advertisement method. Payment methods of both of them are PPC, that is earning money regardless of whether a reader buys the product or not.

For article marketing, you need to have a higher ranking in search engine results to be a credible source. There are many article submission websites like Ezine Articles. As a marketer, you submit your article and affiliate marketers republish your article. The marketer who published the original article gradually earns higher search engine rankings. For email marketing, affiliate marketers embed an email subscription option for website visitors.

Test, Measure, and Track

Testing any action and measuring the performance help you exploring what works and what doesn’t. According to tracking results, change or keep your actions. For example, your banner ads aren’t gain you much. So, try to be placed them in different areas and compare and contrast all results. Sure, some places earn you more.

Research Product Demand

If you remember, I said “understand market needs” at the beginning. Let’s deep into this step. If you have decent traffic, view your daily, weekly, quarterly and yearly traffic and sales chart in order to explore customers’ behaviors and choices. If not, spend a time to find out how the product you are thinking to promote meets users’ needs.

Follow New Methods and Techniques

Everybody is typing to Google: How to make money affiliate marketing. Everyone wants to make money with affiliate programs. Digital marketing trends are very dynamic. So affiliate marketing is. Try to be updated with the latest techniques and methods to be successful in a competitive environment. Getting out of date results in falling behind while staying up to date results in utilizing new techniques.

Select The Right Advertiser

The quality and service of your website are as important as the advertiser’s website. If your visitors become unhappy and dissatisfied after purchasing the product you advice, they think nothing of taking your advice, again. I mean it hurts your credibility. So, focus on choosing the ones that offer good customer service while promoting the person or company.

Use Tools

You need to make your campaign efficient. There are many helpful tools that let you conduct market research, competitor research, track and convert your ad campaigns.

In order to get inspired by topics, you can use BuzzSumo and Feedly. For social media planning and tracking, Buffer would the best choice while Bitly and ClickMeter are good for link creation and tracking. In order to beautify your website with images and GIFs, you can try Unsplash and GIFMaker. For monetization, you can use Google Adsense, VigLink, and Flippa.

One of them I suggest is GO Trace by App Samurai, a smart affiliate link testing and monitoring tool, which you can use for free to test. You can test your affiliate links whether there is any broken one or not. It is useful for both advertisers and affiliates.

Affiliate Marketing Types

Wwbsit Affiliate Marketing

Most common affiliate marketing type is doing it by a website. However, with the increased amount of smartphone usage, we think it may be useful to talk about another type of affiliate marketing:

Mobile Affiliate Marketing

Mobile affiliate marketing is simple you will do mobile affiliate marketing by promoting affiliate links provided by the product owner (advertiser), which you share in your mobile app. All you have to keep in mind for mobile affiliate marketing is that your mobile advertising inventory must be a user-friendly mobile interface, it should have new functions and tools for comfortable navigation from any mobile device, be familiar with constant updates and upgrades and so on. If you apply these to your mobile product, you can easily do mobile affiliate marketing.

Learn about microcephaly

Microcephaly is a birth defect. The baby’s brain doesn’t grow properly. The baby is born with a very small head.
Microcephaly may be caused by an infection, like the Zika virus. This is carried by a type of mosquito.

If a woman is bitten when she is pregnant she may get Zika. The illness is mild, but it may affect the growing baby.

Microcephaly can show up on an ultrasound scan during pregnancy.

Sometimes it is not seen until the baby is born.
If your baby is born in a clinic or hospital, his head will be measured soon after the birth. If your baby is born at home, take him to the clinic. A health worker will check your baby and measure his head.

There is no known cure for microcephaly.
Babies with microcephaly have different problems. Some have fits. Some have problems with speaking. Some have feeding problems.

These babies may be slow to learn. Some will be slow to walk and talk. They may have problems with hearing and seeing.

Babies with mild microcephaly may have a few problems as they grow up. Babies with more major microcephaly need extra care all their lives

How to prevent Zika Virus

  • Wear clothes that cover your skin. Mosquitoes are attracted to dark colours. So wear light-coloured clothes.
  • Use insect repellents on your skin. Ask at the pharmacy or health centre which ones to use. Or look for one that contains Deet.
  • Use a net. Sleep and rest under an insecticide-treated mosquito net. Make sure you use it day and night, even in hot weather.
  • Tuck the net around you. If it has holes, patch them with fabric.
  • Use window and door screens if you can to keep insects out of the house
  • You find mosquitoes near pools of still water and rubbish.
  • Remove pots, bottles, and containers that collect water. Take them away from outside your house and workplace. Cover water tanks so mosquitoes can’t get in. Unblock drains so water flows away.
  • Put rubbish in plastic bags. Put them in a closed container so animals can’t tear them open.
  • If you think you may have been bitten, or have Zika, go to the clinic.

A Brief History Of Football⚽

Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played with a spherical ball between two teams of eleven players.

It is played by 250 million players in over 200 countries and dependencies, making it the world’s most popular sport.

The game is played on a rectangular field called a pitch with a goal at each end.

The object of the game is to score by moving the ball beyond the goal line into the opposing goal.

Terms used in football

Kick-off:

following a goal by the opposing team, or to begin each period of play.

Throw-in

Ahen the ball has crossed the touchline; awarded to the opposing team to that which last touched the ball.

Goal kick

When the ball has wholly crossed the goal line without a goal having been scored and having last been touched by a player of the attacking team; awarded to defending team.

Corner kick

When the ball has wholly crossed the goal line without a goal having been scored and having last been touched by a player of the defending team; awarded to attacking team.

Indirect free kick

Awarded to the opposing team following “non-penal” fouls, certain technical infringements, or when play is stopped to caution or dismiss an opponent without a specific foul having occurred. A goal may not be scored directly (without the ball first touching another player) from an indirect free kick.

Direct free kick

Awarded to fouled team following certain listed “penal” fouls. A goal may be scored directly from a direct free kick.

Penalty kick

Awarded to the fouled team following a foul usually punishable by a direct free kick but that has occurred within their opponent’s penalty area.

Dropped-ball

Occurs when the referee has stopped play for any other reason, such as a serious injury to a player, interference by an external party, or a ball becoming defective.

Players are cautioned with a yellow card, and dismissed from the game with a red card.

These colours were first introduced at the 1970 FIFA World Cup and used consistently since.

The recognised international governing body of football (and associated games, such as futsal and beach soccer) is FIFA. The FIFA headquarters are located in Zürich, Switzerland.

Six regional confederations are associated with FIFA; these are:

Asia: Asian Football Confederation (AFC)

Africa: Confederation of African Football (CAF)

Europe: Union of European Football Associations (UEFA)

North/Central America & Caribbean: Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF)

Oceania: Oceania Football Confederation (OFC)

South America: Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (South American Football Confederation; CONMEBOL)

A Brief History Of Football

According to FIFA, the Chinese competitive game cuju (蹴鞠, literally “kick ball”) is the earliest form of football for which there is evidence.

Cuju players could use any part of the body apart from hands and the intent was kicking a ball through an opening into a net. It was remarkably similar to modern football, though similarities to rugby occurred.

During the Han Dynasty (206 BC – 220 AD), cuju games were standardised and rules were established.

Phaininda and episkyros were Greek ball games.

An image of an episkyros player depicted in low relief on a vase at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens appears on the UEFA European Championship Cup.

Athenaeus, writing in 228 AD, referenced the Roman ball game harpastum. Phaininda, episkyros and harpastum were played involving hands and violence. They all appear to have resembled rugby football, wrestling and volleyball more than what is recognizable as modern football.

As with pre-codified “mob football”, the antecedent of all modern football codes, these three games involved more handling the ball than kicking. Other games included kemari in Japan and chuk-guk in Korea.

Association football in itself does not have a classical history. Notwithstanding any similarities to other ball games played around the world FIFA has recognised that no historical connection exists with any game played in antiquity outside Europe.

The modern rules of association football are based on the mid-19th century efforts to standardise the widely varying forms of football played in the public schools of England. The history of football in England dates back to at least the eighth century AD.

The Cambridge Rules, first drawn up at Cambridge University in 1848, were particularly influential in the development of subsequent codes, including association football.

The Cambridge Rules were written at Trinity College, Cambridge, at a meeting attended by representatives from Eton, Harrow, Rugby, Winchester and Shrewsbury schools.

They were not universally adopted. During the 1850s, many clubs unconnected to schools or universities were formed throughout the English-speaking world, to play various forms of football.

Some came up with their own distinct codes of rules, most notably the Sheffield Football Club, formed by former public school pupils in 1857, which led to formation of a Sheffield FA in 1867. In 1862, John Charles Thring of Uppingham School also devised an influential set of rules.

These ongoing efforts contributed to the formation of The Football Association (The FA) in 1863, which first met on the morning of 26 October 1863 at the Freemasons’ Tavern in Great Queen Street, London. The only school to be represented on this occasion was Charterhouse.

The Freemason’s Tavern was the setting for five more meetings between October and December, which eventually produced the first comprehensive set of rules.

At the final meeting, the first FA treasurer, the representative from Blackheath, withdrew his club from the FA over the removal of two draft rules at the previous meeting:

the first allowed for running with the ball in hand; the second for obstructing such a run by hacking (kicking an opponent in the shins), tripping and holding. Other English rugby clubs followed this lead and did not join the FA and instead in 1871 formed the Rugby Football Union.

The eleven remaining clubs, under the charge of Ebenezer Cobb Morley, went on to ratify the original thirteen laws of the game.

These rules included handling of the ball by “marks” and the lack of a crossbar, rules which made it remarkably similar to Victorian rules football being developed at that time in Australia.

The Sheffield FA played by its own rules until the 1870s with the FA absorbing some of its rules until there was little difference between the games.

The world’s oldest football competition is the FA Cup, which was founded by C.W. Alcock and has been contested by English teams since 1872.

The first official international football match also took place in 1872, between Scotland and England in Glasgow, again at the instigation of C.W. Alcock.

England is also home to the world’s first football league, which was founded in Birmingham in 1888 by Aston Villa director William McGregor. The original format contained 12 clubs from the Midlands and Northern England.

FC Cologne Has Pulled Out Of A Football Academy In China.

German Bundesliga club FC Cologne has pulled out of a football academy in China, with one senior official saying “human rights are massively disrespected” in the country.

Cologne had been slated to run the school for young footballers in Shenyang, northeast China, for 1.8 million euros ($2.0 million).

Club president Werner Wolf said in a statement Wednesday “we have decided not to continue the project… due to the current sporting situation,” saying a reevaluation of “resources and priorities” were behind the move.

“Other forms of possible co-operation, for example sponsoring from Chinese companies, hasn’t been ruled out,” he added.

But Stefan Mueller-Roemer, a former club president and now head of the fan council, told local newspaper Koelner Stadt-Anzeiger that “we don’t need China in sport.”

The charges stem from the sale of television rights for matches involving Pananama and other teams in the region. Alvarado is only the latest former FIFA official to be banned. Several have been jailed by US courts.

Alvarado who was president of his national federation and a member of the executive committee of the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean football (CONCACAF) was also fined 500,000 Swiss francs (459,000 euros or $511,000).

The statement said in calculating the fine “the Panel took into consideration the undue pecuniary advantages offered and accepted by Mr Alvarado as bribes ($230,000)” and decided the amount should both “have a preventative effect” and “be higher than the benefit Mr Alvarado obtained.”

Alvarado has been indicted by US prosecutors for his role in the sprawling Fifagate scandal which involved millions of dollars in bribes paid by sports marketing companies to football officials in exchange for TV broadcasting and promotional rights to tournaments including the Copa America and Copa Libertadores.

Joke of the day 20/12/2019

A young boy is doing poorly in math at public school. His mother decides to send him to private school to rectify the situation. Lo and behold, after a semester in the new private Catholic school, the boy’s grades were straight A’s, even in math!

Surprised, his mother asked him how he liked his new school. “Oh, it’s all right, I guess,” he replies. “They must be teaching you some new tricks!” “Not really.” “Then what do you think is making the difference in your grades?” “Well”, he says, “as soon as I saw that guy nailed to the plus sign, I knew they meant business!”
🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂

How to prevent being a potential rape victim

Here are some tips that could help you not to become a potential rape victim.

Always keep your phone charged.

Don’t step out with an almost-dead phone. It can be your saving grace, whether you need to call the cops or call your friends and ask them for help.

Be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Parking lots and parking garages are two of the sites that are most often targeted by attempted rapists. These people are predators, so view your surroundings carefully. If you are in a parking lot and feel someone is following you, start making noise talk to yourself loudly, talk to an imaginary person, or pretend to talk on your cell phone. The louder the potential victim, the more the predator is apt to freeze. This doesn’t mean you should become paranoid but be more aware.

Read also: How to defend yourself from an attacker

Learn to trust your gut instincts.

If you feel uneasy or unsure in any way, it is in your best interest to get away and get help. Use your instincts and be aware of your freeze instinct.

Stick with your friends.

Wherever you go, show up with a group of friends and leave with that group of friends. Even if you and your friends have ended up at different parts of the party, always know where your friends are and make sure that they see where you are, too.

Learn “SING”.

This stands for Solar-Plexus-Instep-Nose-Groin, the four attack points you should focus on if grabbed from behind. Elbow them in the solar plexus, stomp on the foot as hard as you can, and when they let go, turn around and jam the palm of your hand into their nose in an upward motion, then finish with a knee to the groin. This may disable your assailant long enough for you to get away.

Don’t leave your drink unattended.

Treat your drink like a $100.00 bill. Don’t let anyone hold your drink. Avoid anything that somebody gives you. It could be “counterfeited.” Always hold, keep and get your own drinks. Keep your hand over the top of your drink because it’s easy to drop something into it.

Carry defensive items only if you know how to use them.

Remember, any “weapon” that could hurt a potential attacker can be used against you if you are not well trained and comfortable with it.

Notice and leave identifying marks.

A large bite mark on their face, punctured eyeball, deeply scratched leg, ripped out piercing etc. is easily identifiable, as are memorable tattoos, etc.

A Chinese doctor can’t find a job in a hospital in the US, so he opens a clinic and puts a sign outside that reads “GET TREATMENT FOR $20 – IF NOT CURED GET BACK $100.”

An American lawyer thinks this is a great opportunity to earn $100 and goes to the clinic.

Lawyer: “I have lost my sense of taste.”

Chinese: “Nurse, bring medicine from box No. 22 and put 3 drops in patient’s mouth.”

Lawyer: “Ugh. this is kerosene.”

Chinese: “Congrats, your sense of taste is restored. Give me $20.”

The annoyed lawyer goes back after a few days to recover his money.

Lawyer: “I have lost my memory. I cannot remember anything.”

Chinese: “Nurse, bring medicine from box no. 22 and put 3 drops in his mouth.”

Lawyer (annoyed): “This is kerosene. You gave this to me last time for restoring my taste.”

Chinese: “Congrats. You got your memory back. Give me $20.”

The fuming lawyer pays him, and then comes back a week later determined to get back $100.

Lawyer: “My eyesight has become very weak I can’t see at all.”

Chinese: “Well, I don’t have any medicine for that, so take this $100.”

Lawyer (staring at the note): “But this is $20, not $100!!”

Chinese: “Congrats, your eyesight is restored. Give me $20”

If you are considering doing some camping this summer, please note the following public service announcement: In Alaska, tourists are warned to wear tiny bells on their clothing when hiking in bear country. The bells warn away MOST bears (brown, black, etc.), but be careful because they don’t scare Grizzly Bears. Tourists are cautioned to watch the ground on the trail, paying particular attention to bear droppings to be alert for the presence of Grizzly Bears. One can easily spot a Grizzly dropping because it has tiny bells in it. 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂

Top 10 Most Used Programming Language

Programming lovers and software engineers, welcome to the top 10 most used programming language, as years pass by more programming language become relevant than the other.

So here is a list of the most popularly used programming languages used 2019:

1. JavaScript

JavaScript often abbreviated as JS, is a high-level, just-in-time compiled, object-oriented programming language that conforms to the ECMAScript specification.

Alongside HTML and CSS, JavaScript is one of the core technologies of the World Wide Web. JavaScript enables interactive web pages and is an essential part of web applications.

The vast majority of websites use it, and major web browsers have a dedicated JavaScript engine to execute it.
JavaScript has curly-bracket syntax, dynamic typing, prototype-based object-orientation, and first-class functions.

2. Python

Since 2003, Python has consistently ranked in the top ten most popular programming languages in the TIOBE Programming Community Index where, as of December 2018, it is the third most popular language (behind Java, and C). It was selected Programming Language of the Year in 2007, 2010, and 2018. An empirical study found that scripting languages, such as Python, are more productive than conventional languages, such as C and Java, for programming problems involving string manipulation and search in a dictionary, and determined that memory consumption was often “better than Java and not much worse than C or C++”. Large organizations that use Python include Wikipedia, Google, Yahoo!, CERN, NASA, Facebook, Amazon, Instagram, Spotify and some smaller entities like ILM and ITA. The social news networking site Reddit is written entirely in Python.

3. Java

Java is a general-purpose programming language that is class-based, object-oriented, and designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible. It is intended to let application developers write once, run anywhere (WORA), meaning that compiled Java code can run on all platforms that support Java without the need for recompilation. Java applications are typically compiled to bytecode that can run on any Java virtual machine (JVM) regardless of the underlying computer architecture. The syntax of Java is similar to C and C++, but it has fewer low-level facilities than either of them. As of 2019, Java was one of the most popular programming languages in use according to GitHub, particularly for client-server web applications, with a reported 9 million developers.

4. C

C is widely used for systems programming in implementing operating systems and embedded system applications, because C code, when written for portability, can be used for most purposes, yet when needed, system-specific code can be used to access specific hardware addresses and to perform type punning to match externally imposed interface requirements, with a low run-time demand on system resources.

C has also been widely used to implement end-user applications. However, such applications can also be written in newer, higher-level languages.

5. C++

C++ is a general-purpose programming language created by Bjarne Stroustrup as an extension of the C programming language, or “C with Classes”. The language has expanded significantly over time, and modern C++ has object-oriented, generic, and functional features in addition to facilities for low-level memory manipulation. It is almost always implemented as a compiled language, and many vendors provide C++ compilers, including the Free Software Foundation, LLVM, Microsoft, Intel, Oracle, and IBM, so it is available on many platforms.

6. PHP

PHP is a general-purpose programming language originally designed for web development. It was originally created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1994; the PHP reference implementation is now produced by The PHP Group. PHP originally stood for Personal Home Page, but it now stands for the recursive initialism PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor.

As of January 2013, PHP was used in more than 240 million websites (39% of those sampled) and was installed on 2.1 million web servers. A command line interface, php-cli, and two ActiveX Windows Script Host scripting engines for PHP have been produced. As of 2019, PHP 5 is most used on the web; which was last updated with security updates in January 2019, with PHP 5.6.40.

7. C#

C# is a general-purpose, multi-paradigm programming language encompassing strong typing, lexically scoped, imperative, declarative, functional, generic, object-oriented (class-based), and component-oriented programming disciplines. It was developed around 2000 by Microsoft as part of its .NET initiative, and later approved as an international standard by Ecma (ECMA-334) and ISO (ISO/IEC 23270:2018).

8. Ruby

Ruby is an interpreted, high-level, general-purpose programming language. It was designed and developed in the mid-1990s by Yukihiro “Matz” Matsumoto in Japan.
Ruby is one of the most popular languages among tech startups. Many Silicon Valley unicorns have been built on Ruby, including Airbnb, Twitch, GitHub, and Twitter. Its popularity is bolstered (and perhaps dependent) on Ruby on Rails, a full-stack web application framework that runs Ruby.

9. Shell

This is the 9th programming language on this list, This programming language provides you with an interface to the Unix system, it is a program designed to run be run by a Unix shell.

10. Objective-c

Objective-C, the coding language used to build iOS apps for Apple’s App Store, has risen to become one of the most popular languages. Apple chose Objective-C back in the day because it was already the language of NeXTSTEP, the desktop operating system pioneered by Steve Jobs and NeXT.

“Relaxers And Hair Dyes May Increase The Risk Of Breast Cancer In Black Women”, says alexandra white.

Alexandra White, Ph.D., head of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Environment and Cancer Epidemiology Group and senior author of the study, said on Twitter:

“In our study, we see a higher breast cancer risk associated with hair dye use, and the effect is stronger in African American women, particularly those who are frequent users.”

Advertisements

According to the study released by the International Journal of Cancer, all women who regularly use permanent hair dye and hair relaxers are more likely to develop breast cancer than women who didn’t use hair dye.

The study authors wrote that the specific chemical found in the hair dyes that could be carcinogenic has not been detected yet. There are over 5,000 chemical ingredients present in various hair dyes. Some of these are known to be carcinogenic and some are capable of damaging the genes and cause mutations.

According to the study, “Many hair products contain endocrine-disrupting compounds and carcinogens potentially relevant to breast cancer. Products used predominately by black women may contain more hormonally-active compounds.”
