Here are three recipes to make short breads right and quick.
- 1 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup icing/confectioners sugar
- Preheat the oven to 350 °F (177 °C).
- Have the butter at room temperature.
- Mix all the ingredients together for 10 minutes.
It is recommended that you use an electric mixer as hand stirring will not mix it properly.
Drop teaspoons of the dough onto a cookie sheet.
Bake for approximately 15 minutes, or until it turns a light brown on the bottom.
Make sure it does not turn brown on the top!
Let them cool and store in an airtight container.
